Shiny Pokemon has stirred quite the buzz among Pokemon Go players thanks to their rarity and unique skills. The cute and lovely Swinub will be a great addition to your collection, so we’ve covered you with everything you need to know about where to find it and how to catch it.

Here is what you need to know.

Where to Find Shiny Swinub in Pokemon Go

As you’ve probably noticed by now, Shinies are pretty rare and sometimes very challenging to spot. Their spawn rates, however, are increased during special events, but you might well find some in:

  • Wild encounters;
  • Special Research breakthroughs;
  • Raid Boss encounters;
  • Research Task rewards (the most popular way);
  • Limited-time events.

How to Catch Shiny Swinub in Pokemon Go

Shiny Swinub had increased spawn rates during the Spotlight Hour on June 22, and if you didn’t manage to catch one, you still got time.

The best way to catch a Shiny Swinub is to use lures near Pokestops.

Why Are Shiny Pokemon so Important?

Shiny ‘mon are rare forms of Pokemon that you can encounter doing raid battles or in the wild. These unique creatures are very challenging to find due to their low spawn rates, making the hunt even more difficult.

And as if it wasn’t enough, there are only a few Shiny versions of Pokemon spawning in Pokemon Go. So, finding and catching one should be mandatory for all the players out there.

Niantic had also offered enough support lately, adding weekly special limited-time events that feature various incredible Shinies. You just have to make sure you won’t miss one, and a Shiny ‘mon could be yours!
