Yoga: Hidden Benefits of Doing Yoga

Many people have come to yoga for physical benefits. But yoga’s real power is that it changes your brain chemistry, making your mind stronger and happier. As we get older, our minds start to shut down. We become less creative, and less able to solve problems. We become more cautious and judgmental. We find it more and more difficult to learn, and to remember things. Yoga does more than exercise your muscles; it exercises your brain, too.

Yoga benefits

Yoga has many benefits. It alleviates stress, builds flexibility, and builds muscle strength. Yoga also makes you more aware of your body, so if you do yoga, you will do less damage to it.

Yoga increases blood flow to your brain, improves your balance, and stretches your muscles. And doing yoga can improve your concentration, your memory, and your sense of clarity. Scientists call it the “relaxation response.” When we exercise, we get a surge of stress hormones. But when we relax, our bodies produce high levels of the hormone serotonin, also known as the “feel-good” hormone. And yoga is relaxing.

A 30-minute yoga class can lower your blood pressure and heart rate, and reduce your stress hormones. It has been shown to reduce pain, anxiety, and depression. And it can slow the aging of your brain.

When you practice yoga, you become more aware. Yoga is about being aware of your body. When you practice yoga, it becomes a habit. This makes you more aware of your body. When you practice yoga, you are more aware of your body.
Yoga also makes you happier.

When you practice yoga, you become more mindful, more aware. You become less worried, less stressed, and less angry. Because you have less stress, you feel happy. When you feel happy, you are more satisfied with life and with your life.
