How Yamcha Can Become Stronger Than Ultra Instinct Goku in Dragon Ball Super

Sure, you would say that Dragon Ball has always invented huge power boosts from “thin air”, but we’ll be talking about an entirely different thing here. Yamcha is often the subject of a lot of mockery memes online, and we’re not here to contradict them.

Instead, we want to show that there is a way for Yamcha to become even stronger than Ultra Instinct Goku. Or maybe there is even more than just one way.

Let’s not forget that Yamcha was a pretty important character back in the very first Dragon Ball series when Goku was a child. Yamcha was also known as the Desert Bandit, and he had some pretty impressive techniques that were striking fear in the hearts of his enemies. Of course, the power levels of the Z warriors were enormously lower in those times, but still, we’re talking about the foundation series of the entire Dragon Ball franchise. Without the first series, there would be no Dragon Ball Z, Super, or GT.

Goku has reached unprecedented heights in terms of power along with his Ultra Instinct form, and there seems to be no limit to his powers. However, he still had trouble during this transformation against some opponents, such as Jiren, Moro, or Granolah. This means that Goku hasn’t become immortal nor unbeatable.

However, we must admit that it’s hard to believe that even in Dragon Ball Super, Yamcha can train enough until he becomes stronger than Ultra Instinct Goku. But there are other ways of becoming stronger, or at least being “stronger” in a single battle by winning it by all means. Here’s how Yamcha could do it:

Learning the Mafuba technique

Whether you want to call it Mafuba or Evil Containment Wave, we’re talking about the same technique able to seal an opponent into a jar for eternity. The technique has its origin in the first Dragon Ball series, when a warrior used it to stop King Piccolo from terrorizing the Earth.

Since Master Roshi, Tien, Future Trunks, and Goku learned how to use the Mafuba, why wouldn’t Yamcha be able to learn it as well? Surely the forgotten Earthling can do it and use it against much more powerful opponents. We’re guessing that even Goku, during his Ultra Instinct technique, is vulnerable against the Mafuba technique. Therefore, if Yamcha uses it against Goku, he could say that he has defeated the mighty Saiyan and he’s, therefore, stronger for one battle.

Asking the Eternal Dragon to become stronger

We’ve all seen how Granolah gathered the dragon balls to become the strongest being in the world. It didn’t seem difficult at all for the Eternal Dragon to grant such powers. This can only mean that if Yamcha is diligent enough to get his hands on all those seven balls, he will be able to defeat UI Goku if he wants to.

Dragon Ball never had a problem with making a character gather all of the dragon balls to ask for a wish. It’s even incredible how it didn’t happen more often. The Eternal Dragon can grant pretty much any wish. Back in the very first Dragon Ball series, characters like Bulma, Goku, Yamcha, and others were desperate to get the dragon balls. The items had even brought back from the dead a lot of people throughout the franchise, and this can mean only one thing: the Eternal Dragon won’t hesitate to make Yamcha the strongest if he asks likewise.

The Dragon Ball Super Manga continues to bring exciting episodes, continuing the adventures of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and the rest. Yamcha could be brought back into action at any moment,
