Russia invading several major Ukrainian cities shocked the world, and various sanctions started to be imposed. If you’re a fan of FIFA 22, FIFA Online, or FIFA Mobile, you’ll have to get used to the upcoming withdrawal of Russian teams from these games.

EA is planning just that, to remove national teams and clubs from Russia from some sports games, as the tech giant itself announced via Twitter on March 2. This move was anticipated by many, and the post rapidly triggered plenty of reactions.

The removal process has already begun, and it’s still not clear when exactly those Russian teams will disappear from the games.

It shall be interesting to find out if FIFA 23 will also be impacted by a similar decision. However, the game is roughly 6 months away from its release, and things will hopefully return to normal until that time. EA SPORTS releases a new FIFA game every year for consoles and PC.

Otherwise, FIFA 22 remains a highly-played game. Its Career Mode represents one of the reasons why it is so beloved. Here’s how the game’s Steam page describes it:

Career Mode – Live out your dreams as both a manager and a player in FIFA 22. Create the newest club in FIFA, design your kits, style your stadium, and choose whether to compete with the elite or rise up from the lower divisions as you manage your club to glory. Or test your skills as a player, with a more immersive Player Career mode that gives you more ways to progress, achieve, and immerse yourself in your Pro’s journey through the game.

Normally, we can expect that FIFA 23 will come out somewhere around September. The upcoming game will bring a series of improvements for the series, along with the updated rosters of players and teams.
