Even though we’ve seen Bardock present in video games numerous times already, it’s great to find out that the father of Goku will be included in ‘Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’ as well. The big news is brought by a new trailer showing some events as they originally happened during the storyline. Actually, Bardock was only present in flashbacks in the Dragon Ball Z series when he was first mentioned, but the upcoming DLC’s trailer is recreating some of those moments pretty faithfully.

We can see once again when Goku was a child being prepared for his journey to Earth. For those who don’t know, the famous hero is not an Earthling. He’s a member of the Saiyan race, and he was sent to Earth when he was just a baby by his father, Bardock. At that time, Frieza was preparing to destroy planet Vegeta and wipe out the entire Saiyan race, so Bardock needed to do something fast to at least save his son. After sending Goku to Earth, Bardock had the courage to take Frieza head-on. But unfortunately, Frieza was too strong at that time compared to any Saiyan.

The ‘Bardock – Alone Against Fate’ DLC arrives in 2023

Bardock is included in the new ‘Bardock – Alone Against Fate’ DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and it will land in 2023. The update will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and that’s a bit surprising considering that the game itself is also available for Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and Windows PC.

The trailer reminds us of the dirty work of the Saiyans, who had to conquer entire planets and sell them. That’s most probably what Bardock and his fellow henchmen are also preparing to do in the trailer.

At this point, there’s no precise release date announced for the upcoming DLC, but we’ll certainly get more details soon enough.
