New Combat weapons have just been added in Fortnite, and we couldn’t be more excited!
The Combat Rifle and the Combat SMG are now available as part of the v18.20 update. Unfortunately, you can’t find them in the loot pool, so you need to unlock them.
We’ve compiled a list of everything you need to know to get your hands on the new Combat weapons.
Combat SMG Stats
The stats for the new combat weapon are:
- Magazine Size: 32
- Fire Rate: 12
- Damage to Player: 24
- Reload Time: 2.16s
Combat Assault Rifle Stats
This weapon has the highest rarity in Fortnite and has the following stats:
- Magazine Size: 35
- Fire Rate: 9
- Damage to Player: 25
- Reload Time: 2.79s
How to Get the Combat SMG & the Combat AR
To unlock the new Combat SMG or the Combat Assault Rifle in Fortnite, you’ll have to donate enough Gold Bars to your desired weapon‘s fund as part of the current War Effort.
The donations are pretty easy, and you can make one at various Donation Boards around the map.
TIP: look for POIs, and the Donation Boards will be right outside them.

If one of the Combat weapons receives enough donations, it’ll be unlocked, and you’ll be able to enter the loot pool and search for some chests to get it.
What’ll happen to the weapon that doesn’t get enough donations?
Unfortunately, we don’t know yet what’ll happen, but Epic Games might add it later in the season.
What is a Combat Weapon?
Combat weapons have a tight bullet spread, excellent power and comes with a strong kickback. However, even if a combat weapon is so powerful, you’ll find it hard to control. So, take your time and learn how to master one!
