Fortnite update v18.20 is almost here, and it’s coming with a lot of stuff for all players to enjoy, alongside some essential bug fixes.
Season 8 aired a few weeks ago and brought plenty of content, including a new Battle Pass, exclusive skins, new weapons, and revived the Punchcards! But, there’s more to explore in this Cube-themed season, as per some fresh reports.

Fortnite v18.20 Downtime Details
The downtime for the new update is expected to start on October 12, at around 1 AM PT/ 4 AM ET/ 9 AM BST. So far, we don’t know for sure the exact time.
According to previous mid-season updates, the v18.20 patch could last about an hour and two hours. However, it highly depends on how much stuff Epic Games is adding to Fortnite.

Get ready for a new week of Fortnitemares because the new update will bring another seven days of spooky content! We should expect more gameplay modes, new skins, and most likely a brand-new weapon!

Zombies Return
Jump-scares Zombies will roam the Island again, according to popular tipster HYPEX. The scary creatures will appear when you least expect them, which will be quite annoying!
Zombies also have a 50 % chance of spawning from their objects (as if it wasn’t enough, right?) a hay bale or a car. So, be careful during your next trip to the Island.

Fortnite v18.20 Patch Notes: the Cubes and Their Takeover
Season 8 added some strange Cubes around the Island, and since then, we’ve seen them multiplying and trying to reach the map’s center, where The Aftermath lies.
Now, some reports suggest that the Cubes plan to dominate the Island even more.
Fortnite v18.20: New Combat Assault Rifle and SMG Weapons
The Combat Assault Rifle and the Combat SMG have been highly teased in the v18.20 update. The weapons will face off in a vote during the War Effort.

Fortnite v18.20 Bug Fixes: What to Expect?
Epic Games will also bring some bug fixes that some of us really need for the following issues:
- Unable to fish while inside some vehicles;
- OnePlus Nord smartphones crash on login;
- Reboot timer in HUD is not the same as the reboot timer on Reboot Card;
- Battle Pass page unlock progress is not constantly tracking correctly;
- Concert Rain VFX stays on Island until Returning to Hub and entering the Island back (Creative Mode);
- Slower gliding via Symbiote item and Launch Pad;
- Switch players couldn’t be heard by other consoles in Game chat.
