Who said that you can’t play a good video game without mind-blowing hardware components? In a world where games are becoming more and more realistic and demanding with the PC configuration, remembering some of the old titles can also be beneficial.
Video games meant for PCs equipped with only 2GB of RAM or even less can also provide a load of fun, and we’ve made a list of such games that can totally prove it:
1. Mafia II
Mafia II is the representation of the gangster world from New York as it looked back in the ‘40s and ‘50s. This game is simply unforgettable for all of its aspects: a fabulous story full of twists and turns where even your best friend can betray you for a few thousand bucks, iconic music, delightful sound effects, and even fabulous graphics for its time. Even the facial expressions of the characters are accurate, which is pretty awesome for a game released ten years ago.
2. Assassin’s Creed
Launched way back in 2008, Assassin’s Creed was the next-generation game that redefined the action genre. The very first game from the Assassin’s Creed series merges technology, game design, emotions, and theme in a world where the player has to investigate chaos.
The setting of the game is 1191 AD when The Third Crusade is tearing apart the Holy Land. The player gets into the shoes of Altair and has to stop the hostilities by all means.
3. Total Overdose
If you like fists and bullets, this game is for you. If you’re not getting used to the high gameplay rhythm, you can also use the shot dodge, a special move for dodging bullets. Total Overdose is a third-person shooter open-world action game where players get to control Ramiro, Ernesto, and Tommy. However, the most playable of the three characters remain Ramiro.
4. Sniper Elite 3
Sniper Elite 3 is easily one of the best games of its series. The player will deal with a tactical stealth shooter that can be treated in several ways. He can choose to go fully stealthy and wait for the right moment to take down enemies using various dirty tricks, or he can greedily shoot deadly bullets in them using the sniper rifle for long distances. It’s all up to the player!
5. GTA San Andreas
GTA San Andreas brings the player into a massive open world with three major cities and a lot of countrysides. The protagonist character is Carl Johnson (aka CJ), a poor boy from the ghetto who has to go a long road to become a top gangsta.
You can improve pretty much every aspect of CJ’s life, including gun shooting, muscle buildup, wealth, casino gambling skills, and even picking up women. Having an incredibly diversified gameplay, GTA SA is easily one of the best titles of the legendary Grand Theft Auto series.
