Meta has a new update in store for WhatsApp users that improves the insanely popular instant-messaging app. You can already grab the update in APK form, as it’s known by version 2.22.20.73.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.22.20.73 comes in the form of just a simple APK file, as there are no bundles around. The variant was built on a universal architecture, and the minimum accepted Android version is Android 4.1.

What’s new

The new 2.22.20.73 update for WhatsApp brings the following features:

  • Users can now use the “delete for everyone” feature
  • Chats can be sorted with the “unread” filter

WhatsApp is going through new updates very often. For instance, we spoke back in August about two new features arriving for the app that allows users to ignore their contacts a lot easier. Those new features consist of the possibility to leave a group without getting others notified, as well as users getting tha chance to hide their “Last Seen” status from a specific contact.

Other features that were recently added to WhatsApp are the increasing of the maximum number of participants in a group to 512, as well as the increase of the file size limit to 2GB.
