Pokemon GO – Everything You Need To Know About Hoopa’s Confined Form

Hoopa is finally nearing its debut in Pokemon Go, after the rumors it provoked since Pokemon Go Fest 2021.

You will soon be able to get your hands on the Mythical Pokemon and see how Hoopa performs in battle.

You can find Hoopa in its Confined Form during the new Special Research available during the Season of Mischief after going through with the first few pages of tasks.

Similar to previous Special Research-bound Mythical Pokemon, you will be able to get a hold of Hoopa via a CP level that lets it compete in nearly every cup in the Go Battle League. However, if you are looking to bring out all that Hoopa has to offer, you will need a considerable amount of Rare Candies.

The confined form of Hoopa is a Ghost and Psychic-type Pokemon, a combo that can be found among only a few other Legendary Pokemon.

Though it’s certainly a very rare find, Hoopa has plenty of weaknesses too.

Hoopa can deal lots of damage, but it doesn’t withstand many hits.

Hoopa has particularly low defenses, which, combined with its specific type downsides, Hoopa struggles against Ghost and Dark-type attacks. Both result in four times super-effective damage.

Hoopa is particularly weak against Legendary and Mythical Pokemon like Mewtwo, Darkrai, and Yvetall, which can deal lots of damage with powerful Ghost or Dark-type moves.

Common Pokemon like Umbreon, Gengar, and Hydreigon can rapidly one-shot Hoopa if an attack is timed well when Hoopa’s Protect Shield isn’t up.

When Hoopa’s defenses are low, even some non-effective moves are a significant threat.

However, what Hoopa lacks in defenses, it compensates with a high attack stat and a generous array of Fast and Charge attacks, which make it one of the best hyper-offensive Psychic and Ghost-type in all of the game.
