Nintendo wants to remind us all once again about childhood. Believe it or not, a few decades ago, NES and SNES games represented the bee’s knees for most gamers. Nintendo knows that very well, which is why it’s adding more NES and SNES games to its Nintendo Switch Online service for the July 2022 update.

First and foremost, we have to remark that the famous Kirby is now jumping on the bandwagon once again. To be more precise, Kirby’s Avalanche which was originally released in 1995 for Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), is now joining the new catalog of games that the Nintendo Switch Online service is offering for July 2022.

The other two games joining the roster are:

  • Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia (NES)
  • Fighter’s History (SNES)

All three titles are already live for the service, which means that you are already free to play them if you are a subscriber. Here’s the presentation video by Nintendo:

Fortunately, the Nintendo Switch Online service is not meant only for NES and SNES games. Earlier this month, we shared the news about the service offering support for four games originally released for the 16-bit Sega Genesis console, another gaming machine that dominated the market back in the ’90s. Those newly added games are Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Target Earth, Zero Wing, and Comix Zone.

If you’re already willing to purchase a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, you can simply head over to the official website to set the deal! We have to say that the pricing is pretty reasonable if you ask us. Membership for one month would cost you $3.99. If you want a three-month deal, you’ll have to pay $7.99. If you want the 12-month agreement, the price is only $19.99. Subscription services seem to represent the future of gaming, and Nintendo confirms it.
