Sure, you might be a little frustrated about some streaming services and their quality offered for the prices you pay. But guess what? There’s no such thing as a free lunch, and there are plenty more fish in the sea. Gladly, there are so many options available out there, and one of them will soon be the new streaming service known simply as Max!

According to GSMARena, both HBO Max and Discovery+ merged to give birth to Max, a new streaming service. As you can expect from a merger, the resulting streaming service will be able to offer users all of the content that was previously present in the catalogs of HBO Max and Discovery+. There will also be three pricing tiers available, as you would have expected.

The “Max” streaming service becomes available starting May 23 in the US

If you live in the US, you’ll be among the first to get access to the new streaming service known as “Max.” You will get that privilege in a bit more than a month, on May 23. Later this fall, the same service will also become available for the public who lives in South America. Europeans are the least lucky in this whole scheme, as they will have access to the new service only starting at some point in 2024.

The prices to watch content via the Max streaming service start at $9.99. This plan also includes ads, but if you don’t like them (well, who doesn’t, right?), you can simply opt for a more expensive subscription plan.

You might have known at least one person who was subscribed to both Discovery+ and HBO Max at the same time. You also heard the phrase, “there’s method to someone’s madness,” and perhaps you can now understand that person considering that the two streaming services have fused together.
