ASUS has been through thick and thin in the last few years, and it has surely proven that it can do well in other fields except for laptops. The company has now released a new series of smartphones dedicated to gaming: the ASUS ROG Phone 7.

The new series consists in both the standard ASUS ROG Phone 7 and the ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. We know about the two phones’ release and main specs thanks to GSMArena, and we must say that they qualify pretty easily to be called gaming phones. Usually, smartphones are connected to a monitor and a gamepad to enjoy a “full gaming experience,” but it might not be needed if you have an ASUS ROG Phone 7 in your pocket. There’s just too much hardware power there already!

ASUS ROG Phone 7 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor

The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is clearly among the best chipsets that are available for Android smartphones, if not the best of all! We can find the processor as well on the new gaming phones released by ASUS. Samsung also implemented the same processor on its flagship series for 2023, the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup. All three phones from that latter lineup feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Some might say that ASUS seems to have twisted the arm of those from its smartphone sector to make portable devices compatible more with gaming, and guess what? It seems like a pretty good idea! However, surely some folks will say that ASUS has thrown caution to the wind, but you know how things go in life in general and in tech in particular: you just cannot please everyone, regardless of how good, charming, pretty, or smart you are.

The popularity of mobile gaming has grown tremendously in recent years, which means that more and more companies will focus in that area.
