As we all know, Chris Hemsworth is the God of Thunder, Thor. His fiercest role was in the 2020 action bonanza Extraction, surprising Netflix viewers, the movie becoming the most-watched original film.

Extraction 2 Release Date And Plot

Extraction 2 will premiere on June 16, 2023, on the same platform, Netflix. The sequel began production in November 2021 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The producer, Joe Russo, explained:

It’s very different from ‘Extraction 1’, which we like. It’s its own movie in that regard. It has a different color schematic. It’s set in a different part of the world. It has a different pace, a different tone than the first one.

The official synopsis for the movie is that Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake in the upcoming film after barely surviving the first movie’s events.

Extraction 2: Cast And Trailer

There is not much official information about the cast, but Netflix confirmed that Chris Hemsworth and Golshifteh Farahani would return as Tyler Rake and Nik Khan, respectively.

The good news for John Wick and Matrix fans is that 87/North collaborator Daniel Bernhardt could appear in the movie.

The trailer presents Hemsworth’s hero breaking a woman out of a snowy prison during a violent, explosive riot, hit with a Molotov. He keeps punching guys in the face with his flaming fist.

For me, the image of Chris Hemsworth beating the shit out of a bunch of prisoners while on fire in the snow was something that I couldn’t pass up.
