Xbox Game Pass Is Now Pricier for New Subscribers

If you intend to continue your subscription to Xbox Game Pass, you should know that it appears the price has increased.

For individuals who want to try out the program, Microsoft has made Game Pass Ultimate accessible for an extended length of time for just $1 for the first month.

Microsoft has always used this marketing strategy to attract more Game Pass customers with a low entry barrier.

And although this arrangement had previously received a positive response from many fans, it appears that Microsoft has now completely abandoned it.

That’s right! Microsoft appears to have completely discontinued the long-running $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate discount for new customers, which was first noticed by XGP.xl.

Although Microsoft has not stated why this benefit has come to an end, it is no longer advertised anywhere on the Game Pass website when you go to sign up for the platform.

Instead of receiving Game Pass at a reduced price for their first month, new customers would now be required to pay the regular $14.99 fee.

It’s important to note that the $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate bargain may return in the future.

Microsoft has previously given certain promotions with Game Pass that were only valid for predetermined amounts of time.

As a result, perhaps Microsoft will merely be more selective about when it makes the deal live, rather than keeping this $1 membership option available indefinitely.

Even though the price of Xbox Game Pass has increased for new subscribers, many individuals may still decide to subscribe to the plan in the near future.

This following week, Game Pass will also receive titles, including Redfall, Starfield, Lies of P, and Ghostwire: Tokyo in addition to MLB The Show 23.

Overall, Xbox Game Pass remains the strongest aspect of the Xbox ecosystem, and even if this $1 deal is discontinued, it still has had a long and successful run at the end of the day and it may hopefully come back!
