How many of us are still dreaming about the Twilight ‘verse? Team Edward or Team Jacob? Well, stop dreaming because Twilight is about to happen…again!

Variety has confirmed with sources that Lionsgate TV has now entered the very early stages of developing a Twilight TV series. Yes, you read correctly, a TV series. As great as that could be, the Twilight revelation was initially reported by The Hollywood Reporter. So we’re really thankful and excited about such news!

We have so many questions, so what should we discuss first?

Twilight The Series: First Details

There’s good news and bad news. For book lovers, this is going to be awesome, but for those who hope for a new movie direction, well, let’s just say that we can actually expect anything!

The Twilight book series by Stephanie Meyers, which was already made into a film franchise, would serve as the basis for the television series. Neither a writer nor a network nor a streaming provider is currently associated with the project. However, Meyers will be involved with the TV series, so we should expect some intriguing plots!

On the other hand, Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig are actually involved as executive producers, as per the new reports. The five Twilight movies were made by Godfrey and his Temple Hill production business, while Feig served as a former co-president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. This liaison is clearly perfectly made for the Twilight TV series!

Another great movie franchise, Harry Potter, has just entered production, too, for a TV series on HBO Max.

As we all know, there were five films in the highly-acclaimed Twilight Saga franchise, all of which were released between 2008 and 2012. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner were among the primary cast members of the five movies, which collectively earned more than $3 billion at the box office worldwide. Were you Team Edward or Jacob?

Details about the cast, release date, and plot are still unknown.
