Jumping jacks, also known as star jumps, are simple and easy to do. They are great for burning calories and building stamina. You can do them anywhere to help you get more fit.

Tuck your chin toward your chest, and then extend your arms straight out in front of you. Jump up in the air as you bring your arms down to shoulder height. Then, bend your arms at the elbows so your forearms are parallel to the ground. Bring your hands back to shoulder height, and then jump in the air while bringing your hands back down beside you. Repeat these steps in a continuous motion until you’ve done 50 repetitions, or until you feel tired or can’t jump as high.

Benefits of Jumping Jacks

1. They burn calories and work your muscles. Jumping jacks are an effective form of exercise that can help you lose weight and gain muscle tone. The more you do them, the more calories you’ll burn, and the more toned your muscles will become. As you gain muscle strength, your overall health will improve as well.

2. They work all parts of your body. Jumping jacks work every part of your body, including your arms and legs, stomach, hips and buttocks. When done correctly, they can help tone up these areas while strengthening the muscles that support them.

3. They’re safe for people of all ages and fitness levels. Jumping jacks are safe for nearly everyone to do, since they don’t require any special equipment or training on your part. Just make sure to stretch before doing any jumping exercises so you don’t injure yourself in the process.

4. It is a great way to warm up before a workout session or routine or just something to do in place of a break during a long workout session. Its also a good way to cool down afterwards because it helps bring your blood pressure and heart rate down slowly instead of just stopping suddenly after an intense workout or routine.
