The Street Fighter 6 Showcase, which will be hosted by Lil Wayne and include “big news and announcements,” was recently confirmed by Capcom. Since every character has now been revealed, we somehow assumed that Street Fighter 6 would be slowing down. But it seems that we still have much stuff to uncover! Next Thursday, April 20, at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET, the Street Fighter 6 Showcase is planned to take fans by storm. You can watch the stream on Street Fighter’s YouTube website and the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel. Rapper Lil Wayne will emcee the event, but we could also get to see some guest appearances from SF6 Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto. They could totally offer us more information about what we’ll be witnessing.
Capcom will also present an official pre-show for the showcase that will go through everything we already know and have seen about SF6. And if you didn’t think it could get better, Suzi, the Sphere Hunter, and Jirard, the Completionist, will host the pre-show.
According to Capcom’s announcement, the SF6 Showcase will take around 30 minutes. Though we don’t know many details, the trailer does provide us with some sneak peeks! And thanks to a few new SF6 World Tour narrative mode snippets in the trailer, it looks like we’ll finally get to see a bit more of what the adventure has in store for fans. Kimberly’s brand-new outfit can also be seen for a brief moment in the trailer. The character appears to be ready to actually spray-paint everything around her!
There is also a good likelihood that Cammy’s song will be played during the broadcast. But that’s unless it appears earlier, as hers is the latest character theme for the game to have been kept under wraps.
The official release of Street Fighter 6 on the PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam is scheduled for June 2, 2023.
