Three new characters for Street Fighter 6 were officially unveiled during today’s PlayStation State of Play.

More precisely, fans were able to see returning fighters Zangief and Cammy, but also a brand new character named Lily.

The trio was introduced along with a gameplay video, which showed them competing against previously known fighters such as Blanka and E. Honda.

At debut, the game’s lineup will include all three. Unfortunately, not much new information was provided, but the game now appears to be much more promising than it was a few months ago.

The exciting announcement was shared on Twitter and reads: “Zangief and Cammy return along with the exuberant newcomer Lily! The bear, bird, and bee round out the diverse launch roster when #StreetFighter6 hits the scene on June 2.”

Over the past several months, Capcom has gradually opened up more and more about the game, disclosing a number of the features players may expect to see.

They will have the option of touring the Metro City hub zone between matches, where they may talk to NPCs.

The story of the game hasn’t been extensively discussed, but we do know that Luke, who made his debut as the Street Fighter V DLC fighter, will be at the core of it.

Luke will be joined by some other returning characters, including fan favorites Chun-Li, Guile and Ryu.

Fans who choose to enable the feature can anticipate hearing adored members of the game community in the game, which will be the first in the series to offer optional in-game commentary.

On June 2, Street Fighter 6 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and on PC.

It will make an appearance at two of the largest fighting game competitions in the world shortly after its debut.

This week, the game for Capcom Cup X and Evo 2023 was revealed.

The start of Evo 2023 is set for August 4, although Capcom Cup X is only currently scheduled for this summer.

That being said, there won’t be much time for fans to truly experience Street Fighter 6 before it enters the competitive scene.
