It’s that special moment when technology teams up with the Pokemon realm! Samsung has the new Pokemon Special Edition of its Galaxy Buds2 available, and it will surely delight anyone who’s into the famous franchise. The newly-designed Galaxy Buds2 are in the shape of famous Pokemon, such as Snorlax, Jigglypuff, and Ditto.
Hopefully, we’ll see Pokemon Special Editions of the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 featuring other characters of the famous franchise as well. There’s no Pikachu version, as far as we can see, which can be infuriating for the fans. Pokemon without Pikachu is like a wedding without the bride. Hopefully, that will change pretty soon.
Sales start on June 29
Therefore, the Galaxy Buds2 and Buds2 Pro are headphones inspired by Pokémon, as Notebookcheck has discovered from Samsung’s official website. Unlike previous editions, these second-generation Pokémon Special Editions feature designs based on specific characters of the famous franchise. Primarily targeting the South Korean market, Samsung offers bumper accessories that can be fitted onto existing Galaxy Buds2 or Buds2 Pro cases. However, these themed bumpers will only be available with the new Special Edition sets.

The Pokémon Special Editions come in three attractive designs based on Ditto, Jigglypuff, and Snorlax and include exclusive keepsakes such as matching stickers. The Buds2 Pokémon Special Editions are priced at 130,000 won ($99), while the Pro versions cost 200,000 won ($135), with standard variants currently available for around $113 if you wish to buy from Amazon.
The Special Editions will be sold at Samsung’s flagship store in Gangnam, Seoul, starting on June 29, 2023, and will be available online in South Korea starting from June 27, 2023.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 headphones are capable of some very powerful specs. They offer basic touch controls, a basic setup, and the possibility of pairing with iPhones, just to say the least.
