The wait for a sequel to the legendary GTA 5 seems unbearable. The latest major Grand Theft Auto iteration was released almost nine years ago, and the fans never had to wait for a GTA game so much. It’s enough to consider this aspect to realize that it will be worth the wait, and GTA 6 will be one hell of a game.

GTA 6 will have a lot of exciting stuff for gamers to enjoy. Judging by the rumors, the upcoming game will follow the same recipe as GTA 5 at least for one of the aspects: it shall bring three protagonist characters instead of just one. But here we have another exciting possibility: hints point to the implementation of a female protagonist among the male characters. Who can possibly not be willing to see a badass girl as she’s teaching some manners to the naughty boys?

Therefore, when is GTA 6 coming out? We’ll likely have some plenty of time wait, but at least an announcement about a release date is closer.

The release date announced in 2022?

According to ScreenRant.com, a reputable Rockstar insider speculates that the release date of GTA 6 will be announced this year. Furthermore, he believes that the game could launch in 2023.

Tez2 is the Rockstar Games insider in question, and he made his claims via the GTAForums.

Until now, Rockstar decided to prolong the tension and not say a word about when GTA 6 is coming out. Instead, the company is busy with GTA Online and creating a new remake for GTA 5 that will be released in March.
