Pirates Of The Caribbean 6 – Current Status

Everybody heard of the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean.

However, fewer people know that it is based on Walt Disney’s theme park entertainment bearing the same name.

The movie franchise began its journey back in 2003 with The Curse of the Black Pearl, which got mostly positive reviews and registered US$654 million across the globe.

Due to the success of the movie, Walt Disney Pictures soon announced that a sequel was in the making.

Right from the start, the franchise did well, and all of the movies got mostly positive reviews.

There are a total of five movies currently in the franchise, and fans are aching for a sixth one.

The story begins with the collaboration between Captain Jack Sparrow and Blacksmith Will Turner to save Elizabeth Swann, Turner’s love from the cursed pirates under the leadership of Hector Barbossa, a former mate of Jack.

Current Status

It is known that a sixth movie is currently in the making.

It was rumored before the introduction of On Stranger Tides that Disney was preparing to shoot the fifth and sixth movies back-to-back, yet only the fifth movie was actually produced.

Back in March 2017, director Joachim Rønning stated that the fifth movie wouldn’t be the end to the franchise, as Dead Men Tell No Tales was just the beginning of the final adventure.

Jerry Bruckheimer, the series producer, announced back in 2017 that a new movie was still in the works.

Ultimately, in May of last year, he indicated that the first draft for the new movie’s screenplay was nearly finished.

The movie is currently in the production phase, and we are eager to learn more about it and see a trailer for it.

Ted Elliott and Craig Mazin are the screenwriters of the upcoming movie.

Also, Kaya Scodelarios revealed that she signed a contract to return for a new film.

There is no official release date for the new movie, but it’s safe to say that they will be in the near future.

However, we can’t precisely anticipate when the movie will premiere.

However, looking back to the franchise’s history, most of its movies were released in July or May.

It would make sense for a sea-based movie to be launched in summer, right?

Therefore, we believe that the sixth movie will be launched next summer, and a trailer will be introduced in the first months of the next year.

Stay tuned for more updates on the subject!
