Say what you want about Super Mario games – that they’re boring, that they lack any sophisticated graphics, and so on. But perhaps we can all see eye to eye on at least one aspect: those retro games have inspired countless other titles from the vast world of gaming.

Neko Rescue Tale is a new game that you can play for consoles. If you have an Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or Nintendo Switch at home, you’re in luck. You can already run the game on those platforms. The devs admit that they’ve taken some inspiration from the classic Super Mario while coming up with the new Neko Rescue Tale.

You can play Neko Rescue Tale NOW!

East Asiasoft Limited, the publisher, has collaborated with Ratalaika Games, the developer, to bring Neko Rescue Tale to gamers. It seems that the two companies haven’t sat on the fence too much when coming up with the new game.

Feel free to watch the trailer of the new game to learn more:

The game’s description is pretty-straight forward, as Nintendo Life quotes:

A little kitty’s friend has gone missing, and it’s up to you to guide the frisky feline to rescue them! Presented in side-scrolling pixel art style, Neko Rescue Tale is a traditional action platformer where you guide a heroic cat through seasonally themed stages filled with enemies, traps, pitfalls and more. Run, jump and always land on your feet!

Buying Neko Rescue Tale will also certainly allow you to save some money for a rainy day. The game is priced at only £4.19, and those who will grab it can also benefit from a launch discount.

It’s time to shed some light on this one: out of the countless video games out there that were inspired by Super Mario, there are very few developers who would admit it. Thumbs up for Ratalaika Games!
