Tech enthusiasts and VR junkies should give a round of applause to the folks over at Meta (formerly known as Facebook), because they’ve proven themselves to be pretty darn good at creating Virtual Reality headsets.

That’s right, while some of us are still trying to figure out how to work a regular headset, the geniuses at Meta are out here creating headsets that make you feel like you’re living in a whole other dimension. If you’ve ever tried out one of their Oculus headsets, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about.

With their sleek designs, high-quality graphics, and intuitive controls, Meta’s VR headsets have taken the gaming world by storm. From exploring new worlds and defeating monsters to designing your dream house and attending virtual concerts, the possibilities are endless with these bad boys.

Meta Quest Pro will cost $999

Meta is reducing prices on two of its headsets, according to CNN. The higher-end Meta Quest Pro headset will be $500 cheaper at $999, six months after its initial release. The Quest 2 headset will also see a price drop from $499.99 to $429.99, effective in over a dozen countries starting on Sunday.

The price cut for Quest 2 will go into effect in the United States, while Quest Pro will have a price drop in the US and Canada from Sunday and in other countries from March 15.

Meta (formerly known as Facebook) started creating virtual reality headsets in 2012 when it acquired Oculus VR. The first Oculus headset, called the Oculus Rift, was released in 2016.

So, if you’re looking for a new way to escape reality (which, let’s face it, we all are), then Meta’s VR headsets are definitely worth checking out. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll all be living in a Matrix-style simulation, but until then, we’ll settle for the next best thing – Meta’s kickass VR technology.
