iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus Could Get Frosted Glass Finish, Similar to Pro Models

iPhone 15’s big launch event is still far away, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mill from doing what it does best: spreading rumors! So, apparently, the tech giant based in Cupertino is allegedly going to introduce a new color choice for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus this year, along with a brand-new “frosted glass” back design, similar to what was previously used on the iPhone Pro models. Quite impressive, isn’t it?! If that turns out to be accurate, just imagine how much users’ experience will be upgraded.

Two speculations on Weibo claim that Apple will utilize a brand-new “frosted glass” design for the rear of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus currently come with sleek glossy rear glass. As for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, they feature a frosted matte appearance, which is more premium.

Now, talking about colors. What shades do you expect the new iPhone 15 series to have?

Weibo goes further, unveiling a new cyan-green color for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The green hue that Apple provided for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini is said to look somehow similar to the new cyan. How cool is this?! Maybe we’ll also see such shades on the Pro models in order to break the rule of always ‘dressing’ too dark.

Could the iPhone 15 Pro models also get an upgrade?

Well, the design of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could also come with an upgrade, but only if Apple decides to employ a new frosted glass manufacturing tech for the iPhone 15’s rear glass. What does this mean?

It’s much more likely that the rear glass to feature a glossy finish to better suit the matte edges of the Pro phones’ new matte titanium edges. Just imagine how cool everything would look! However, we only have the rumors to rely on, so we better take everything with a grain of salt.
