Hogwarts Legacy offers players the chance to get up close and personal with a number of the magnificent magical beasts from the entire Harry Potter series.
They range in appearance from beautiful, adorable, and ethereal, to threatening and terrifying.
Not to mention that many of the most beautiful and fascinating creatures in Hogwarts Legacy have traits and skills that can be useful to witches and wizards.
It is difficult to choose just a few of the creatures in Hogwarts Legacy because Hippogriffs, Mooncalfs, Fwoopers, Diricawls, and other creatures are all deserving of mention. However, some are notable for their style and skills.
- Puffskeins
One of the best creatures in the Hogwarts Legacy universe is this fluffy little ball. Puffskeins can be overlooked as Hogwarts Legacy creatures because they are a common type of magical pet.
According to canon, they have a lot of magical properties that make them excellent ingredients for potions. Puffskein fur can be kept in the player character’s vivarium and can be used for upgrading equipment.
- Kneazles
It may look a lot like a typical cat but this creature has the potential to be rather hostile.
One of the greatest animals in Hogwarts Legacy, this fluffy feline-related creature has the magical ability to sense whether someone cannot be trusted making it a fantastic guard.
Even though they are not as effective as other materials, the Kneazle’s whiskers are strong enough to be utilized as wand cores. In the game, however, the Kneazle’s fur is required to create traits and upgrade equipment.
As you are probably aware, in the original Harry Potter story, Hermione’s pet is a mix between a normal cat and a kneazle.
- Thestrals
These eerie, bony winged horses can only be seen by people who have already encountered death, which is just fitting given their nearly skeletal appearance.
They are one of the greatest animals in the game because they can be used as mounts.
Furthermore, their hair is also useful. Since thestral hair is one of the most potent things that may be used as a wand core, it is highly sought after.
Thestral mounts are a component of a DLC that was bundled with pre-orders for Hogwarts Legacy’s deluxe and collector’s editions and is also available independently as the Dark Arts Pack DLC.
The Thestral will be ready for use whenever a player who purchases this DLC completes the “The High Keep” quest, guaranteeing they get one of Hogwarts Legacy’s greatest beasts.
