According to a major fresh Fortnite tip linked to Chapter 3 of the famous battle royale game, a crossover with Xbox’s Gears of War franchise is on the way. This cooperation with Gears of War, like many others in Fortnite, appears to primarily bring a load of new player skins linked with the long-running Xbox property. However, due to the form of the leak, it’s still unclear when these skins will be released.
Gears of War characters such as Marcus Fenix or Kait Diaz will be appearing in Epic’s app, according to a new teaser released recently for Fortnite Chapter 3. Fenix is the hero of the Gears of War franchise, and he has showed up in nearly every iteration. Kait is the protagonist of Gears of War 5 and she has been recently added to the franchise.
Epic has added a "Gears of War" Quest Bundle to the files today!

In addition, leakers discovered a Gears of War Quest Bundle dubbed “Delta-One” in-app files. The Delta-One is a Gears of War group that includes the core squad from the first installment as well as new protagonists as they develop.

Overall, many fans anticipated this Gears of War and Fortnite mash-up to come much earlier than it did. That’s because Epic Games was responsible for the first 3 core Gears of War games. While the series was ultimately passed on to Xbox’s in-house studio The Coalition, Epic has always had links to Gears, so this was likely to come eventually.
