If you have never heard about Diego Armando Maradona, it means you don’t like football. We’re talking about one of the best footballers of all time, and even the newest games of the FIFA series found a way to implement him.

But according to EUROGAMER, a ruling from a court in Argentina might force EA to pull the legendary footballer Maradona from FIFA 22. Those willing to find the footballer can do so by accessing the Ultimate Team mode of the game, where he appears as an icon card.

A judge recognized trademark rights claim on Diego Armando Maradona by the company named Sattvica, as the Argentinian news website Infobae claims.

FIFA 22 has already become very popular

Although it has been just a little more than a month since it was launched, FIFA 22 has already reached some impressive statistics. Here’s what BusinessWire.com has to say about the game:

This year’s title has already been played in 200+ nations worldwide, with an average of 89 million matches being played per day totaling 2.1 billion matches and 12 billion minutes played. Over 5 billion goals have been scored.

FIFA 22 has a lot of exciting stuff to offer to the gamers, with or without Maradona in the game. The official Steam page describes FIFA 22 in a pretty accurate way:

Powered by Football™, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 22 brings the game even closer to the real thing with fundamental gameplay advances and a new season of innovation across every mode.

FIFA 22 is available for plenty of platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and Google Stadia. The game will probably arrive for other platforms as well, as we’re talking about a game that has the potential of being adapted for multiple consoles. There’s no telling how many exciting consoles will arrive on the market in the near future.
