After a long wait since the last episode of the first season of the Dragon Ball Super anime, which aired back in March 2018, we may finally have the news that every fan was hoping for. There is a new strong reason to believe that the anime is finally coming back, and it may even happen this year.

The official Dragon Ball website has published the new statements made by anime producer Akio Iyoku. The guy tells the world that it’s a chance for new Dragon Ball material to become available after the release of the “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” movie, which will be released in Japan in April.

Although the producer doesn’t clearly mention what it’s all about, a second season of the anime seems to be the only possible way it can be “another great year for Dragon Ball”. It was clear from the end of the first season that the anime would return at some point.

There are so many exciting possible ways that the writers can continue the story after the Tournament of Power! Frieza could be once again up to no good, Gohan could become a real menace, and so much more! Only time will tell for sure, and it’s surely worth waiting for the release!

Iyoku is working hard to get the movie done for us. Judging by the hints we have until now, the movie will bring a lot of pleasant surprises for all Dragon Ball fans. Gohan may once again become the hero of an arc, he’ll even reach a new transformation and more. But perhaps the biggest news is that, according to some information, the movie will realize the connection between Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Z. Any Dragon Ball fan who has been watching the two animes realizes that their stories don’t perfectly match.
