The highly anticipated battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone may be renamed as later this year, according to a fresh leak. In 2020, during the commencement of the COVID-19 pandemic, Call of Duty: Warzone was released. This was just before the whole globe was forced to retreat inside. Call of Duty: Warzone appeared at a period when people were seeking for new games to play; it was accessible, entertaining, and part of a well-recognized franchise.

One of the most tactical but approachable battle royale games ever made was developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software by using the gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It was so successful that Activision tried to squeeze every last dime out of it, leading to tensions.

Activision plans to produce a successor to Call of Duty: Warzone later this year. It is unknown what the sequel will include, although it has been confirmed that players’ inventory items would not be transferred from the first game. The original version of the game will, however, continue to be accessible and maintained.

The transition to the sequel likely means a new moniker for Call of Duty: Warzone. The leak indicates that the game’s title will change to Call of Duty: Warzone Legacy, however when this will take effect is unknown. However, at the moment this is only a rumor, so nothing is set in stone. It should be treated with skepticism until official confirmation is given by Activision.

We may expect a new version of Call of Duty: Warzone sometime this year. The dataminer also uncovered that the campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II may be made available early as part of an early access deal. However, because no more information was revealed, this is still up in the air.
