OnePlus and Xiaomi aren’t the only phone brands that will be enjoying the benefits of Android 12 for their devices. After the upcoming rollout of Google’s OS that’s scheduled to begin soon for the OnePlus 7 and 7T models that we spoke about a few days ago, some Samsung phones are now waiting in line as well.

According to GSMArena, the rollout of Android 12 with One UI 4.1 and the June security patch has begun for three Samsung models: Galaxy A21s, A02s, and A03s. The firmware versions are the following: A217FXXU8DVF6 for Galaxy A21s, A025FXXU4CVF4  for Galaxy A02s, and A037FXXU1BVFB for Galaxy A03s.

What the update brings new

Several Samsung apps receive improvements along with the new update. A new indicator will show you if the camera and mic are in use. Revamps will also arrive for widgets, the Dark Mode, Picture-in-Picture mode, the Calendar app, and more.

The Samsung Gallery app is also going through some changes that are worth mentioning. An enhanced Stories feature arrived, for instance.

If you want to learn more about Android 12, you can check out Google’s presentation that appeared on the tech giant’s blog:

Android 12 builds on everything you love about Android, and focuses on building a deeply personal phone that adapts to you, developing an operating system that is secure by default and private by design, and making all your devices work better together.

Seeing the Android 12 update on the Galaxy A21s model of Samsung is surely a blessing, considering that we’re talking about one of the best entry-level phones out there. The 5000mAh battery and the main camera setup of 48MP are arguably the main highlights of the phone.

It’s already been over six months since Google released the Android 12 OS. The launch took place last year in October through AOSP (Android Open Source Project).
