Android 12 has been released by Google for more than six months already. It came out in October 2021 through AOSP (Android Open Source Project). After a long wait, both the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T models will get the Android 12 update soon enough, according to GSMArena.

Therefore, those willing to download the Oxygen OS 12 Open Beta 1 are now free to do likewise. This means that they’ll get their hands on everything Android 12 has to offer if they have either a OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, or OnePlus 7T Pro model.

Android 12 is a good option for gamers

Those who like running games on their phones will surely like what the Android 12 OS has to offer. The latest iteration of Google’s software for mobiles adds the HyperBoost technology that’s capable of stabilizing frame rate. Last but not least, you can also take advantage of the Voice Preview effect to make sure everything’s ok before you send a voice message.

Here’s a part of Google’s presentation for Android 12 from the tech giant’s blog:

Android 12 builds on everything you love about Android, and focuses on building a deeply personal phone that adapts to you, developing an operating system that is secure by default and private by design, and making all your devices work better together.

Google also promises us that Android 12 offers the possibility to completely personalize your phone – from redesigned widgets to a custom color palette; it’s hard to believe that you’ll get tired of the options anytime soon. Let’s not also forget about the redesigned system spaces, the animations and fluid motion, and a lot more!

The update to Android 12 will require 4GB of free storage space, so make sure you have it available before upgrading! If you won’t like Android 12, it’s important to keep in mind that it’s possible to switch your device back to the previous Android 11 OS.
