Whether we like it or not, TikTok has become synonymous with social media in a relatively short time. If you’re tired of using the app on the phone like most people, you now have another option. You can enjoy scrolling through the app on the big display of a Vizio TV, according to Engadget.

Using TikTok on a smart TV isn’t something entirely new, however. The app launched six years ago also arrived for smart TVs built by LG and Samsung in November 2021. By using the app in this way, you can enjoy it in pretty much the same way you’ve been doing while accessing it from your phone: watching videos from various categories, such as comedy, entertainment, sports, beauty, fashion, and more.

Too many TikTok users?

Back in September 2021, TikTok revealed that it has over 1 billion users that are active every month. Even the representatives of the app admit that some people are spending too much time on the social network by scrolling and creating videos for it.

Therefore, TikTok announced the introduction of tools that aim to support the digital well-being of the platform’s users. Here’s a statement from TikTok:

We hope these new digital well-being tools continue to support our community in fostering a positive relationship with TikTok. We will continue to invest in protecting the well-being of people so that our community can feel in control of their TikTok experience and empowered to express their creativity, make meaningful connections and enjoy culture-defining entertainment.

The tools are represented by setting break reminders during the watching of videos, a screen time dashboard, and more.

How about you? Are you using TikTok too much? What do you think about the app’s arrival for smart TVs? Would you like to use TikTok on a big display?
