Xiaomi is preparing to release a new powerful lineup of smartphones in the coming weeks, and we are glad to have already found out about its specs and design. It remains to be seen if the Chinese brand will continue to apply the same old recipe of bringing cheap and powerful smartphones to the market.

NextPit reveals some specs that the Xiaomi 13 smartphone series will be featuring, and the first thing that should catch our attention is definitely the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Release date: December 2022

We can still expect for Xiaomi to release its upcoming Xiaomi 13 series this year, and a launch scheduled for December seems more than reasonable. However, it’s a lot more possible for the Ultra model of the Xiaomi 13 series to launch next year in the Spring.

The standard Xiaomi 13 will carry a 6.2-inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels (FHD+). We can certainly expect even more from the Pro model, at least when it comes to the display.

Did we mention that the cameras of the Xiaomi 13 lineup are also pretty impressive? There are setups consisting of three sensors of 50MP each. A Sony IMX image sensor will be implemented for the main camera.

We can also expect from Xiaomi 13 to be equipped with 120 W fast charging, and that is surely something that nobody could complain about. That would also be an impressive upgrade compared to the previous Xiaomi 12 lineup that came out last year in December.

Judging by the camera specs mentioned above, they would also represent impressive improvements compared to the Xiaomi 12 series if the information turns out to be correct.
