Will The Elder Scrolls 6 Do Something About the Enchanting Process?

When it comes to enchanting, it is safe to say that it has been through some changes throughout the Elder Scrolls series. Needless to say, it could still use some editing.

By using enchanting, you can change or enhance gear. All is good so far, except it lacks creativity. Giving magical abilities to weapons and armors should be more than it is now. The game series should work on how the player enchants the armor and the weapons and on the variety of the enchantments. The gear is an essential aspect in the way in which the Dragonborn functions in and out of combat.

How is enchanting used in The Elder Scrolls Games?

Elder Scrolls Online has simplified the skill tree a lot. It added a few more layers to the entire enchanting process. Let’s take an example: the Thieves Guild’s Nightingale Bow falls short, with 30 points of frost damage and 15 points of shock damage. But the process is fascinating to some extent. You can use different crafting processes for games like Magicka, Arx Fatalis, and Two Worlds II. You get to experience more, rather than just doing a simple enchantment that can be applied from one item to another one. You can combine Essence and Potency Runes together, which leads to a lot of different effects. Of course, they could be even more creative (as those in Two Worlds II, for example), but it’s still interesting to try.

We think Skyrim has done a better job here. Skyrim relies on Soul Gems (which can gather souls through Conjuration magic) and Enchanting Altars (which can be found in clear locations throughout the game world).

Will Elder Scrolls 6 improve this problem? Only time will tell.
