A release date has been set for Bithell Games’ upcoming Tron: Identity game.

The developers said this week that it would launch on April 11 for the PC and for the Nintendo Switch, thus the game will definitely meet the predicted release timeframe set when it was initially revealed.

Furthermore, a brand new gameplay trailer that showcased more of the visual novel’s puzzles and dialogue possibilities was also released along with the release date information.

Following the announcement, Bithell Games has also provided fans with an exciting gameplay trailer.

The gameplay aspects demonstrated throughout the teaser, make the Tron aesthetic very much recognizable immediately.

A preview for the game explains that “Tron: Identity is a visual novel adventure that follows Query, a detective program meant to uncover the mystery of what was taken and by whom. Finding yourself in a world that is built on unstable foundations and filled with much whispered knowledge, it is up to you to question suspects and to investigate your surroundings in order to piece together the truth.”

The game offers various endings for players to obtain, as one might have predicted given the numerous dialogue possibilities and the suggestion of branching choices, so it appears like Tron aficionados will have plenty of things to do within the game.

People may be familiar with the developer Bithell Games because they made the John Wick video game John Wick Hex and Thomas Was Alone.

The new version of Tron could be of interest to you if you enjoy that type of alternative approach to a series, similar to the John Wick movies.

After all, they also offered a different, more stylish take on the action genre.

In the meantime, Tron: Ares, a third movie that will take place after Tron: Identity but inside the same universe, is currently in production. It was reported earlier this year that production on the film was finally progressing and that Jared Leto was still believed to be involved.

On April 11, Tron: Identity will be made available on PC and Nintendo Switch so you can get excited because it’s right around the corner!
