They are very important for the health of our cardiovascular system and for reducing inflammation.
It plays a key role in a wide range of metabolic processes that take place in our body, contributing to its healthy functioning.

It prevents blood clotting and supports the health of our bones.
Supporting the health of our thyroid, iodine is important for the well-functioning of our metabolism.
– Vitamin B12
Last but not least, B12 is crucial for the health of our nerve cells. The Washington Post interviewed the nutrition director at the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), Bonnie Liebman, who stated that “Many older people don’t produce enough stomach acid to extract natural vitamin B-12 from milk, meat or eggs. Vitamin B-12 deficiency can cause irreversible nerve damage and can mimic dementia — something you want to avoid.”
Liebman concluded that it is a good idea to include multivitamins in our diet, with good results in what concerns the prevention of certain imbalances in your body. However, the wise approach is to focus on the few important ones that we can’t get from food, as our daily dose of most vitamins is actually included in what we eat, especially if we maintain good eating habits.
