The Flash: We’re Not Getting Season 8 in October, here’s why

The Flash has delivered a fantastic Season 7, full of ups and downs, and we were not ready for that finale. We are waiting for Season 8 to see the fate of our favorite characters. But we might still have to wait a bit more for that. It seems that The CW’s calendar shows that The Flash season 8 will not be back this month.

So when is the release date for season 8?

Season 8 of The Flash will start on the 16th of November, on Tuesday, at 8/7c. Every week for a month, they will run an episode before having a midseason break. This break will mark the first half of the crossover event. Then, it will return in early 2022.

What’s the plot of Season 8?

Barry has made the team with his wife, Iris, and their future children, Nora and Bart, with Jay Garrick and the manifestation of the Speed Force – which we’ve learned more about in the Season 7 finale. Bart and Nora decided to stay in the present after they had defeated the enemy and put him away in Iron Heights.

Barry and Iris renewed their vows. Barry had to resurrect his archenemy, the Reverse-Flash. He will probably play a big role in Season 8.

We will see Barry becoming a confident and powerful, secure team leader. We will also see Joe and Cecile’s marriage put to the test. Will also Barry and Iris get along? We’ll see this season.

What about the crossover?

The new season will come with a five-episode event called “Armageddon.” We’ll see plenty of familiar faces: Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Chyler Leigh as Sentinel. We also cannot forget about our villains: Eobard Thawne as Reverse-Flash.
