A lot of Elder Scrolls fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the sixth main installment of the series. It’s been ten years since the release of the predecessor known as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and it seems that the wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 will take even longer than a decade.

According to the information we have due to PCGamer.com, we’ll have at least 12 months more to wait for the release of The Elder Scrolls 6. This is due to the fact that Bethesda’s Starfield, one of the biggest projects of the company, has to be released first, and it shall be launched in November 2022.

No support for PlayStation 5 consoles

According to another article by PCGamer.com, the highly-anticipated Elder Scrolls 6 won’t be available for PS5 consoles. Instead, those who prefer their gaming on either PCs or Xbox consoles have nothing to worry about. The upcoming game of the legendary series will work for those platforms.

The news is indeed surprising considering the notoriety that the PlayStation 5 console already gathered just one year after its release by Sony. According to The Verge, Sony already sold more than 10 million PlayStation 5 consoles. The next-generation gaming machine has become the fastest-selling console in the entire history of Sony.

Phil Spencer, the boss of Xbox, declared during an interview at GQ:

It’s not about punishing any other platform, like I fundamentally believe all of the platforms can continue to grow,

But in order to be on Xbox, I want us to be able to bring the full complete package of what we have. And that would be true when I think about Elder Scrolls 6. That would be true when I think about any of our franchises.

What do you think about the upcoming arrival of Elder Scrolls 6? Are you willing to play it?
