Perhaps the most awaited stealth shooting game in 2022 is Sniper Elite 5. The series has been hugely influential for the tactical stealth shooting genre when it comes to gaming. Its predecessor Sniper Elite 4 has been received very well by the public, which means that the expectations are huge when it comes to Sniper Elite 5.

The developers from Rebellion had released a gameplay trailer back in December, and there are both sides to the coin regarding the fanbase. Some are impressed by what the trailer presents, while others didn’t hesitate to say that the game will just be a clone for Sniper Elite V2 or Sniper Elite 4.

Sniper Elite 5 comes out in 2022

Without having a precise release date, we know that Sniper Elite 5 will come out this year, in 2022, for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (through Epic Games Store, Steam, and Windows Store).

It’s surely hard to have a reliable opinion after just seeing a trailer of the upcoming game. Therefore, maybe the official cinematic trailer that just came out will convince you of something:

As you can see, Karl Fairburne will be the main protagonist of the game once again. The action will also be based on events from World War II, and the location will be set in France this time.

The predecessor Sniper Elite 4 hasn’t received any updates for quite a while. It’s not surprising, after all, considering that the game is already about five years old. But this is another indication that the developing team will be focusing its entire attention on Sniper Elite 5 and how to make it as immersive as possible.

The arrival of Sniper Elite 5 has been expected by gamers for quite some time, and many believed that it’s coming earlier than 2022. There’s no wonder why, though. Sniper Elite 3 was released in 2014, meaning only three years before Sniper Elite 4.
