The Samsung Galaxy S10 is a flagship smartphone that was released in February 2019. It features a stunning 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels, offering vivid colors and sharp details.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and comes with 8GB of RAM, providing speedy performance and smooth multitasking. It also boasts an impressive camera setup, with a triple rear camera system that includes a 12MP wide-angle lens, 12MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, as well as a 10MP front-facing camera. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, wireless charging, and a long-lasting battery.

No more software support for Galaxy S10 after over four years since its launch

9to5Google has spotted that Samsung has stopped providing Android security updates to its Galaxy S10 series, which was released over four years ago. The move comes as the company revises its update schedule, discontinuing support for dated devices such as the Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e.

The Galaxy A30 and A50, both released in 2019, will also no longer receive updates. However, the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite will continue to receive quarterly updates. The Galaxy Z Flip has been downgraded to a quarterly update schedule, while the mid-range Galaxy A72, M62, and F62 phones will receive just two updates per year.

If a smartphone no longer receives security software updates from the manufacturer, it becomes vulnerable to various security risks such as malware, hacking, and data theft. Without regular security updates, the device may have unpatched vulnerabilities and bugs that can be exploited by attackers. This can compromise the privacy and security of the user’s personal data, including sensitive information such as banking details, passwords, and other confidential data.

As for 2023, the current flagship of Samsung is the Galaxy S23 lineup. The device stands out for its advanced cameras, a better processor, and probably more durability than ever for a Samsung smartphone.
