While the Samsung Galaxy A53 was the South Korean giant’s midrange phone for 2022, its successor, the Galaxy A54 model, will likely be the mid-level device for this year. Those who don’t necessarily want the best features from a smartphone can surely rely on what the Galaxy A54 will have in store for the world.

Galaxy A53, the 2022 phone, is equipped with the Exynos 1280 chipset, a 64MP main camera, a Super AMOLED 6.5-inch display, and a 5,000mAh battery, just to say the least. Therefore, it’s reasonable for the upcoming A54 model not to be anywhere less capable than that.

Samsung Galaxy A54 will feature WiFi 6

Samsung’s upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A54, has been spotted in an FCC filing, revealing new details about the device, including its battery capacity, charging speed, and faster WiFi connectivity. The filing shows that the device will come with a model name of SM-A546 or SM-A546 DS for the dual SIM variant, and it will be equipped with WiFi 6, as SamMobile has spotted.

WiFi 6 is a technology capable of delivering up to 9.6 Gbps data transfer compared to the 6.9 Gbps of WiFi 5.

The upcoming Samsung device will also feature a 4905 mAh battery with 25 watts quick charge rating, and it will retain the WiFi 6 capabilities from the A52s, which was not available on the A53.

Looking further at other sources, the Samsung Galaxy A54 is set to feature a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The camera system on the device will include a 50MP main lens and will be capable of capturing 2160p video. The device will come in two different RAM options, 6GB or 8GB, and will be powered by an Exynos processor. The device will also have a large 5100mAh battery, which will be a Lithium-Polymer type.

We’re still eager to find out exactly what processor the Galaxy A54 will have, but surely we’ll get rid of all doubts soon enough! Stay tuned!
