With Ash Ketchum no longer serving as the protagonist of Pokemon, Pokemon Horizons: The Series is now finally set to open up a brand new chapter for the beloved anime franchise.

Two new heroes who are embarking on their own Pokemon journey will be featured in Pokemon Horizons: The Series, ushering in a brand-new, Ash-free era.
Along with all of these things, it also heralds the arrival of a brand-new tale, a host of intriguing new characters, and a plethora of fresh Pokemon you can look forward to!
Pokemon Horizons: The Series will begin its run with a special hour-long debut worldwide next week so mark your calendars! In the lead-up to the premiere, fans have been getting regular glances at Episode 1.
Included in this is the brand-new teaser of what to anticipate from the upcoming Pokemon anime, which displays the opening few seconds of how this new era begins before one of the brand new Pokemon trainers, Liko, makes her significant appearance.

Pokemon Horizons Episode 1 is slated to air on April 14 in Japan and is named “The Pendant of Beginnings.”
The synopsis teases it by saying the following: “Liko, a girl from Paldea, has enrolled at Sekiei Academy, a boarding school in Kanto. Liko is delighted to get her first Pokemon, Sprigatito, but it does not listen to her at all. While Liko struggles to deepen the bond with Sprigatito, suspicious people appear who are looking for Liko’s mysterious pendant?!”
As for the anime as a whole, The Pokemon Company has shared that “In Pokémon Horizons: The Series, protagonists Liko, whose Pokémon is Sprigatito, and Roy will encounter many other characters during their journey, including a group led by Friede and Captain Pikachu known as the Rising Volt Tacklers. Traveling all across the Pokémon world on an airship is the Rising Volt Tacklers which includes Orla, who enjoys mechanical and electrical work and is joined by her partner Pokémon, Metagross.”
