Niantic has confirmed the full schedule for the upcoming Spotlight Hour in August. The first part of the limited-time event will go live on August 3, featuring Magnemite.

Magnemite will spawn more in the wild but only for a short period, between 6 PM-7 PM local time. So, Trainers worldwide can take part and catch the popular ‘mon wherever they’re playing in the world. How great is that?

And that’s not all!

You’ll also be able to collect Double Catch Stardust as part of the limited-time event bonuses.

Next, West Sea Shellos will make its debut on August 17, offering 2X Catch Candy. For the rest of the month, we’ll have to wait a bit more to see what’ll be featured.

Shiny Magnemite: What to Expect

Great news! Magnemite will also feature its Shiny version.

However, Trainers should know that the Shiny ‘mon will be a very rare occurrence. But, using Lures or Incense might help you encounter a Shiny Magnemite during the Spotlight Hour.

Remember, Spotlight Hours are great opportunities to use any spare items, including Star Pieces or Lucky Eggs, to boost your XP.
