Google I/O 2023 is just around the corner with big promises and surprises. Among those things is the Pixel Fold, a Pixel Tablet, and, of course, a new Pixel Watch! Now, fresh details about the next-gen Pixel Watch 2 are available right before the big event. Curious about what the new Google smartwatch is getting ready for?!

According to recent reports, the next Pixel Watch is going to be named Pixel Watch 2, and it is coming with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. And thanks to reliable tipster Evan Blass, who tweeted about the Pixel Watch 2, we know that the chances for that to happen are pretty much high.

What are your thoughts about the next-gen Pixel Watch 2?

So, nothing special with the Pixel Watch’s naming, right?! Well, let’s try not to act that surprised, shall we?! With the Pixel phones, Google has adopted a naming convention that is not unexpected while also following in Apple and Samsung’s footsteps, even if “Series” is still in use. Moreover, while the tech giant has largely avoided the year, the alternative option may have been this one with the ‘second-gen,” as seen with the Nest Hub and Mini.

This year it seems that Google is playing the right cards by choosing to keep everything under wraps. The Pixel Watch 2 could definitely make its debut under a different name, making things more interesting. However, until the big Google I/O 2023 event, everything could be possible.

If Google teases the Pixel Watch 2 tomorrow (April 10), it will finally be able to reveal the actual design, which is also unusual for the business. Now, on another matter, there’s a high possibility that the same band connection mechanism is in use on the next-gen Pixel Watch 2, and might also be an advantage for the Metal Links Band’s sales when it debuts this spring. Of course, more specs and features have been leaked, but soon we’ll get to know them all!
