iOS 16.5: New Sports Tab Makeover in Apple News

Apple

iOS 16.5 is now available to all users, adding a new sports option to the Apple News app. What’s best is that the tab now serves as a center for information about your all favorite sports teams. You’ll have the results, match times, and the related articles in one place, thanks to iOS 16.5. How cool is that?! You’ll be redirected in a few seconds to the website for the game you choose, and further details will be available just by tapping on the score and schedule cards in My Sports.

Additionally, iOS 16.5 adds a new pride celebration wallpaper that looks incredible and some much-needed bug fixes for Spotlight, the screen time syncing, and CarPlay.

Luckily, there’s more!

Apple also announced some minor upgrades for iPadOS 16.5, watchOS 9.5, and macOS Ventura 16.4 devices. However, one of the coolest things done by the tech giant was adding a sleek multiview for sports fans on Apple TV via a recent update. Quite impressive, isn’t it?! So, you can enjoy the new feature and stream up to four games to your Apple TV 4K at once!

You should know that the multiview function is now only compatible with MLS and MLB live programs as well as Friday Night Baseball games and some Major League Soccer games. But we should see more of that soon as Apple rolls out more updates.

What are your thoughts so far about Apple’s latest updates? When was the last time you updated your Apple device?

Even though the WWDC (Apple Worldwide Developer Conference) is still a few weeks away, fresh leaks and reports resurfaced this week, claiming that the company is already testing iOS16.6 internally. If that turns out to be accurate, we will soon see a beta version available to developers. Also, iOS 16.5 might not be the event’s final major release.
