Great news for WhatsApp users who like to video call their close ones! A new feature that allows you to share your screen during a WhatsApp video call is rolling out. How cool is that?! What’s actually pretty impressive is WhatsApp’s way of keeping its users happy. I mean, only in the last few weeks, we’ve got new features like The feature joins message editing and better Wear OS support.

A thing is sure: one of the most widely used video calling applications available right now is WhatsApp. The messaging app offers a respectable (hats-off) feature set.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp beta for Android (v2.23.11.19) finally introduces the much-awaited screen-sharing capabilities for our video calls. Soon, we’ll be able to activate this function by just tapping a cute new symbol in the call control menu while we’re on a video call. Quite impressive, isn’t it?!

How’s your WhatsApp experience so far? What changes would you bring to the messaging app if you could choose something?

The message that you see on the second screen image reads the following:

WhatsApp will have access to all of the information that is visible on your screen or played from your device while recording or casting. This includes information such as passwords, payment details, photos, messages, and audio that you play.

With the addition of such a cool capability, which many have waited for quite a time, the Meta-owned app has finally caught up to something familiar: Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Just imagine how useful screen-sharing on WhatsApp will be for us. Presentations during a business meeting will be perfectly handled by such a feature! However, it’s also possible to use WhatsApp screen sharing for other things, like letting your family help if you’re having problems using something.
