HBO’s The Last of Us ‘Left Behind’ – How Long Is Episode 7?

For its 85 minute debut, HBO’s live-action rendition of the Naughty Dog video game combined two episodes into one.

It was followed by the 81-minute episode 3 of Bill and Frank’s feature length bittersweet romance.

Recent episodes have been shorter, however. Episodes 2 and 4 were less than an hour, and episodes 5 and 6 lasted only a bit longer.

The network has already announced a second full-length episode of “Left Behind” which will divert attention away from the remaining portion of Joel and Ellie’s adventure once again.

Instead of continuing Joel and Ellie’s journey, episode 7 will most likely focus on Ellie’s first bite backstory as well as her bond with Riley – a character only mentioned in episode 1 of the show.

This is both exciting and quite unbearable given the cliffhanger the previous episode left us with.

However, it’s very possible that the episode may explore both the past and the present, allowing viewers to follow Ellie surviving all alone in the winter landscape while Joel fights for his life.

Before this, Joel and Ellie set out on a 5-day journey to Colorado after reuniting with Joel’s brother Tommy in the town of Jackson.

Instead of finding evidence that Marlene’s Firefly group fled to Salt Lake City, they discovered evidence that they were working on a vaccine to treat the Cordyceps infection.

Joel and Ellie successfully escaped a raider attack and continued on their journey to Utah on horseback before Joel collapsed after getting stabbed.

In conclusion, expect to find out more about Ellie’s beginnings at the FEDRA military academy along with Riley’s untold backstory.

On HBO and HBO Max, The Last of Us episode 7 debuts on Sunday, February 26 at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT so make sure to tune in!

As for how long today’s episode is, the official HBO schedule says that Episode 7 will last 60 minutes.

The previous shortest episode was episode 4, which was only 51 minutes long so this one is a little on the shorter side as well.
