GTA 6 Update: Reputable Leaker Offers Clues About The Number Of Protagonists

According to a press announcement for Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online in February 2022, Rockstar has quietly confirmed that the next Grand Theft Auto game is already in development.  According to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, the most recent rumor about GTA 6 is true. There won’t be three characters in GTA 6, according to him.

Unlike GTA 5, GTA 6 does not have three playable characters.

GTA 5 is unquestionably one of the greatest video games ever. Even switching back and forth between the three main characters, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, proved to be an interesting experience in and of itself from the start. There is speculation that Rockstar has ditched three protagonists for the forthcoming game, at least according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier. GTA and GTA Online DLC were mentioned by a member on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit. Apparently the information offered by the Reddit user was not true, and Schreier himself added that it is pure fanfiction. He continued by saying that GTA 6 won’t have 3 protagonists, unlike it’s predecessors.

Schreier is the kind of insider who, if anybody else could truly know this information, it would be him. His statements do not provide confirmation about the number of characters, but we do know that the next game in the series will not replicate the three-protagonist format of Grand Theft Auto 5, as has been speculated for a very long time.

Regarding Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar hasn’t divulged a lot of information. Even the name of the game has not been decided upon at this point. As of right now, leakers are anticipating a release date around 2024 or later. Will Rockstar give its anxious fans any hints or provide any new information before the end of the year? Now all we can do is wait and watch what happens.
