If you’re like the average Google Photos user, you wish to remain on the ball and not step away from the beautiful features that the app offers. A lot of folks are delighted by what the famous Photoshop app is capable of. Little do they know that there are some apps out there that are even more impressive than Photoshop.
Let’s also not forget that Photoshop is not everyone’s cup of tea, and for various reasons. There are some alternatives out there, and one of them is the new Magic Editor tool that Google has announced for its Google Photos app.
Google’s Magic Editor uses the powers of AI
Google just announced the arrival of its Magic Editor tool for the Google Photos app. The software tool is capable of harnessing the amazing powers of AI in order to obtain impressive results. It’s easy to guess off the top of our heads what AI powers such a tool can have for an app like Google Photos, but certainly, clarification is needed at this point.
In a blog post, Google explained:
With Magic Editor, you’ll be able to make complex edits without pro-level editing skills. Using a combination of AI techniques, including generative AI, it will help you make edits to specific parts of an image — like the subject, sky or background — so you have even more control over the final look and feel of your photo.
Google will begin the rollout of the Magic Editor tool to some of the Pixel phones in a few months.
Let’s face it: plenty of people have been on thin ice when it comes to using Google Photos, as the app was far from perfect. But we’re eagerly looking forward to finding out how users will perceive the new changes.
